No Man’s Sky is an upcoming action-adventure survival video game developed and published by the indie studio Hello Games for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows. The game is scheduled to be released worldwide in August 2016.

No Man’s Sky’s gameplay is built on four pillars—exploration, survival, combat and trading—in which players are free to perform within the entirety of a procedurally generated deterministic open universe, which includes over 18 quintillion (1.8×1019) planets, many with their own set of flora and fauna. By exploring, players gain information about the planets that they can submit to the Atlas, a universal database that can be shared with other players of the game. Players get compensated in in-game currency every time new information is uploaded to The Atlas. Players also gain materials and blueprints to upgrade their character’s equipment and purchase a variety of starships, allowing them to travel deeper into the center of the galaxy, survive on planets with hostile environments, interact in friendly or hostile manners to computer-controlled space-faring factions, or trade with other ships. Some activities, such as killing too many lifeforms or draining too many resources from planets, will draw the attention of patrolling robotic Sentinels that will attempt to kill the player-character. 1. I thought, wow, like sci-fi. Then I saw the gun and was, damn, another violence programming method. Sorry, not for me. Om Mani Padme Hum

  2. im still trying to get the hang of flying the ship. I only played like like an hour so far but it seems really fun. Those damn sentinels are no joke on the first planet you start on. I couldnt figure out most of the controls and i had like 5 boxes (pretty much like stars for GTA) and these big ass star wars looking ones were chasing me down. I didnt realize how to run til after my escape that was epic lol. I just literally kept jumping up and down while this colossal machine shot a laser at me lol. Yea i didnt know what to expect but this game is pretty fun so far lol.

  3. sooo in the interviews when they said this game will be multiplayer and that its possible to meet other players they lied. I see a lot of people talking about no one can see other players im guessing that has not changed. Also if you look at steam under the game info it only says single player no multiplayer or online multiplayer or co op only single player. Im curious if the game box on ps4 says only single player.. If it does then yeah 100% they lied and this game is single player only. And even if people like the game as single player only I didnt see any post by devs saying that the game will be single player only after clearly saying in almost every interview yes you can meet players. They clearly waited for everyone to pre order and play it so they get the money and then players will find out no multiplayer after they can no longer get a refund.

  4. so this game is multiplayer, and typically multiplayer games dont really have save points. They automatically save as you progress. I haven't played the game, but I got thinking about saves and redoing parts of the game where there are options.

For example, toward the beginning of this vid where it gave you the option to take the aliens multi tool or not. You chose not to take it, which caused him to continue on his warrior path and die in battle. Would it be possible to restore to last save point, choose the other option?

or are the save/restore points just places you respawn in the event of a death or exit/return to game?

  5. a lot of people are really trashing on the PC version, lot's of crashes and lag spikes, does the PS4 version do better? I haven't had a chance to get this yet

  6. @5tat did you know you can use the search function costing 1 bypass, over and over on the same beacon? And also that you can search for the same option multiple times as well?
