Connor Chases Kara (Unreleased) – Detroit: Become Human Soundtrack (read desc.)



Please note that I am not able to remove sound effects from the music as I don’t know how to do that. So unfortunately, I cannot record music that plays over dialogue or sound effects.
I hope that with the release of the PC version some people may be able to rip the missing music (there are many unreleased tracks) from the game files without any sound effects overlapping…

I recorded the part where Connor Chases Kara in chapter “On the Run”. It was quite a lot of editing work since you can only listen to a short portion of the track before it cuts to Connor losing Kara followed by the ending of the chapter. So what I did was enter the chapter several times and recorded a few more seconds of the track each time. At the end I edited all of this together. I moved Connor to a place where there were little to not sound effects. I could not get rid off the rain sound effects since this is beyond my abilities, sorry about that.:D The only reason why I was able to record “Connor Chases Kara” is because you get around 10 seconds in which you can just stand around as Connor to record the music. And only after 10 seconds the cutscene with dialogue gets triggered. So I always recorded around 10 seconds, restarted the scene, pressed R2 so that in-game time stops but the music continues in the background. That way I was able to let the music play to the point where I had to resume recording without losing in-game time that triggers the cutscene. And then I released R2 right before the next 10 seconds that I wanted to record. And that’s what I did until I had all of the track until the looping point. 🙂 So no removing of sound effects or dialogue in “Connor Chases Kara”, just some editing and tricks 😀

I made this track in 4 different parts.

Part 1 (starting 0:00) is the unreleased track “Connor Chases Kara” which plays during the chase when you take control of Connor. It has not been officially released.

Part 2 (starting 1:16) is another section of the Chase which is unreleased. It is a mashup of “Run with me” and “Connor Chases Kara”.
Both “Connor Chases Kara” (Part 1) as well as Kara’s “Run with me” were composed in a way that they can actually play together and transition dynamically into one another at any point. During a short portion of the Chase, when Connor catches Kara at the fence and both of them lock eyes for a sec, the two tracks can be heard overlapping. Which part of this mix is played depends on at which part of the soundtrack you reached the fence. In Part 2 of the soundtrack I mixed “Run with me” with “Connor Chases Kara” (Part 1).

Part 3 (starting 2:30) is played when Connor follows Kara onto the highway. This part is also unreleased but is played during the credits.

Part 4 (starting 3:00) is just the ending of “Run with me” with the initial string line put on top of it at the beginning.
